Description

Roger Pryor Pioneer Backcountry is Missouri's largest undeveloped area at 60,000 acres. The area offers nearly 30 miles of hiking trails. This is the place to go for intense solitude and relaxation.

Directions

To access Roger Pryor Pioneer Back Country take highway 72 south of Rolla to state highway P, then go south on P to county road P-235. From there go southwest on P-235 to the Himont Tower Parking area, which lies between the Laxton Hollow (east) and Brush Creek (west).
